I managed to arrive at retirement only to discover that I neglected to bring along enough money to be able to simply kick back and relax. A quick review of what our retirement income will be once the Mrs also retires reveals it will shrink to 1/4 of what we're used to. One quarter! And we'll be on the hook for our own healthcare. Good bye employee benefits. Sniff, sniff.
Now it's likely that some of you readers out there are in a similar predicament or else you might not be reading this, right? Clearly, It's gonna be necessary to supplement the nest egg and come up with ways to cuts costs in order to survive this retirement thing. And if the government ever makes good on their threats to cut 'entitlements' or 'fix' healthcare insurance, we'll need even more $. Something's gotta be done.
